Twenty years of practice.
Now I teach it.

I know what it is to be accomplished and depleted at once, still performing, running on empty.

How I got here

I’m Tara Farrell. I’ve practiced yoga since my twenties, not a class I attended, but the thing I came back to through every demanding season. By trade I’m a creative director. I’ve built brands at major agencies including IBM, and run my own creative agency today. Through all of it, this practice is what kept me steady.

I completed my 200-hour Kripalu Yoga Teacher Training in 2026.

Two breaths I come back to

On the hardest days, two breaths carried me. One for when I needed to settle. One for when I needed to come back online. That’s what I want to hand you.

Ujjayi

the ocean breath

The slow ocean breath that brings you back to ground.

Kapalabhati

the bright breath

The bright breath that clears the fog and returns your energy.

What I kept coming back to is the thing Kripalu is built on: self-observation without judgment

Swami Kripalu called it the highest form of spiritual practice. In a room it means something simpler: you get to notice what’s happening in your body without deciding it’s wrong. After twenty years of leaning on this privately, I trained to teach it.

Who you will be working with

I’m a maker and a teacher by nature, a fine artist as well as a creative director, and nothing lights me up like watching something land for someone else.

This is the practice I reach for when life is hard. I want to put it in your hands too.
